Project Description

Anshe Tikvah, NFP, is a Jewish community promoting the Jewish values of healthy living and recovery; supporting the healing of body, mind and spirit, and a Jewish spiritual basis for living. JNKA was commissioned to develop a design and feasibility study for converting and expanding the former Forge Club restaurant into a new facility for Anshe Tikvah to provide a synagogue, licensed recovery home, outpatient pastoral counseling center, and kosher commercial kitchen.

The new sanctuary would provide the Anshe Tikvah congregation with a space for weekly worship, life cycle events, and supplemental religious education. The proposed recovery residential portion will house 12 adults and provide recovery support for said residents. Caterers, small businesses and restaurants seeking use of a kosher kitchen can rent space in the commercial kitchen. These providers would also assist in serving meals to the residents of the recovery home, as well as at congregational and lifecycle events.
