JNKA completed a Master Plan for renovating the existing 162,200 s.f. school, including a 13,600 s.f. addition providing new classroom, testing and conference spaces to serve the Preschool through High School students. Originally constructed in 1928, the historic school building was in need of many code and technology related updates, as well as additional capacity for the anticipated growth in enrollment. The scope of the Master Plan – established through extensive facility evaluations, interviews with staff & faculty, and discussions with school leadership – focuses on updating classrooms to provide improved learning environments and technology infrastructure, remedies code related deficiencies, upgrades building and access security, renovates underutilized square footage into administration space and includes a harmonious addition with new classroom and support spaces.
