JNKA designed a new Parish Center, known as the “Multitorium,” for St. Edna Parish. The new multi-purpose space will host large-scale Parish social functions such as concerts, theater productions, youth ministry, athletic events, etc, and features a stage, dressing rooms, and a full kitchen to support these functions. The new, larger building will eliminate the constant need to reconfigure the church’s existing multipurpose space and allow it to be dedicated to small meeting rooms and religious education. The exterior of the new Parish Center is designed to blend with the existing facility. The lowered flat roof at the front mimics the unique existing soffits that tie the whole campus together, while the Mulititorium’s hip roof is intended to lessen the scale of the building to blend with its residential surroundings.
