This project consisted of curtainwall replacement, interior remodeling and a stair addition to an existing 1950’s building. St. Stanislaus Kostka school is a highly-visible Catholic school located next to the Kennedy Expressway. Due to its location and visibility, JNKA faithfully replicated the existing curtainwall design while also making the building more energy efficient through the use of coated reflective insulating glazing. Mechanical systems improvements were also made. As part of the scope the existing library was renovated and improved with a new check-out counter. The stair addition was designed to blend in with the existing building and features a large curtainwall facing the Kennedy Expressway.
