JNKA completed a Master Plan for Wheaton Academy’s 42 acre site. The Master Plan enhances all facets of their curriculum, with emphasis on athletics, fine arts and academics. The athletic upgrades include a new turf field complete with elevated bleachers, a press box, and a new concessions stand; a new four lane running track with shot put and high jump accommodations and three new tennis courts complete the upgrades. Enhancements to the fine arts program consist of an outdoor performance gazebo and a new storage addition enabling expansion of their stage productions. A two story Science Wing addition is the main focus of the new educational improvements providing two new Chemistry, Physics, and Biology labs, a roof top terrace, and a courtyard with a climbing wall as the focal element. Other academic upgrades include transforming the existing library into the Genesis Center to function as the hub of the academic department and provide a focus on collaborative learning. Construction of a new maintenance facility allows for relocation of student parking in closer proximity to the main educational building. Wheaton Academy continues to implement elements of this Master Plan through the use of phasing and fundraising initiatives.
